In 2010, Rob operated a small commercial cleaning company, with a contract at Gault Mitchell Law. That Firm then approached him with a request to thoroughly clean all the tenanted properties owned by a deceased Estate client of the Firm to get them ready for sale. Initially caught off guard by the unfamiliarity of such a task, Rob hesitated. Little did he know that this singular job would alter the trajectory of his career forever. Motivated by this pivotal experience, Rob delved into hoarding cleanup and subsequently immersed himself in forensic cleaning. “I did course after course so I could be sure I knew what I was doing, concentrated on cleaning the worst of the worst then worked for the top forensic cleaning companies throughout Australia,” shares Rob.

Upon returning to New Zealand, he founded Capital City Crime Scene Limited, driven by an unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, thorough, and professional cleanup services to those in need. Today, Capital City Crime Scene Limited stands as a steadfast ally for the bereaved, offering support and relief in their darkest hours. 

Highly trained in all aspects of bio-recovery, Capital City Crime Scene Limited’s technicians boast over a decade of experience in the industry and are certified through The American Bio-Recovery Association (ABRA) and Amdecon (USA). They are fully trained in bio-recovery, crime and trauma scene decontamination, odor control, and health and safety protocols, ensuring a meticulous, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach to every job. Operating as a professional forensic cleaning company based in Wellington, New Zealand, they extend their services throughout the entire North Island whenever needed.

We make sure we don’t have anywhere else to be and they get our full attention,” he adds.

Once a job is completed, all related photos are promptly deleted from devices, leaving no trace behind. “Once we have finished the job and walk out the door the photos of that job are deleted from the device before we drive away, never to be seen again by anyone. I only work with people I have the utmost trust in, and it is a rule that all cameras, phones, and recording devices are prohibited from entering the property,” asserts Rob.
